Sustainable & Social Development
Planet Jambette
The planet is our playground. And we take care of it.
For over 40 years, Jambette has pursued a simple yet ambitious vision: create joy today without compromising tomorrow’s happiness. What started as an intuition has become a deeply rooted identity — a way of manufacturing, managing, innovating, and bringing people together.
Our commitment is built on three inseparable pillars: environmental, social, and economic. Together, they form the foundation of a sustainable approach that guides every decision, every product, and every action.
Environmental Footprint
Because a greener world doesn’t fall from the sky, we take concrete steps every day that transform how we produce, move, and operate.
- Reducing pollution and greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs)
- Over 5,335 hours of commuting eliminated thanks to remote work.
- A direct reduction of 440 tonnes of CO₂ every year — the equivalent of removing over 100 cars from the road.
- Promoting active and sustainable transportation: cycling, carpooling, public transit, videoconferencing.
- Fleet of hybrid and electric vehicles + charging stations for employees.
- Regional winner of the Solo Car Challenge 2024.
- 1st place across Quebec in the small business category in 2025.
- Local sourcing
- Nearly 80% of our raw-material suppliers are located in Quebec.
- Greater resilience, controlled quality, reduced transport: fewer kilometres, greater impact.
- Responsible materials and processes
- Use of low-impact solvents and powder coating free of harmful chemicals.
- Aluminum structures: lightweight, recyclable, durable, and rust-resistant.
- More than 90% of the materials used in our playgrounds are recyclable.
- Installation on sleepers rather than concrete, to reduce ground impact.
- Energy efficiency
- Recovery of up to 85% of generated heat thanks to a high-performance Quebec-made system.
- ENERGY STAR® certified equipment and smart energy management (sensors, timers, automation).
- An office filled with natural light, durable materials, and a health-focused design.

Accessibility & Inclusion

- Include play panels accessible from ground level.
- Provide adaptive seating, ergonomic grips, and access ramps.
- Encourage social mix, interaction, and learning.
- Include sensory, immersive, and educational components.
Each park becomes a place for connection, discovery, and openness.
When innovation meets eco-responsibility: Je joue libreMC (My Free PlayTM)
With Je joue libreMC, Jambette challenged the industry.
- A minimalist frame, reclaimed materials, and the child becomes the creator.
- Less new material.
- More creativity.
- A gentle introduction to eco-responsibility.
- A new way to learn freedom… and sustainability.
Je joue libreMC is innovation that reconnects children with nature, ingenuity, and simple joy.
Planet Jambette: a living commitment
Our approach isn’t just another chapter in a report. It’s a culture. A promise. A driver of innovation.
At Jambette, we believe every action matters: a tree planted, a tonne recycled, an hour saved, a child included, an employee supported.
That’s how, day after day, we build a world that is greener, more human, and more joyful.
Together.
