O-AsisTM
At the heart of the park, a refuge for teenage girls.
O-ASIS is the result of in-depth research conducted with researchers, teenage girls, and designers. We listened, observed, and designed differently.
A human and inclusive approach
The project started with a realization: Too often are teenage girls forgotten about in the design of public spaces.
It is with them in mind that we created the O-ASIS line: A collection of soft, beautiful, and comforting products for teenage girls, developed in collaboration with RESPIRE – a Montreal-based pioneer in social research – so that teenage girls can finally feel completely at home outdoors.
Each product features an enveloping design, practical hooks, a solid aluminum structure, climate resistance, and above all... it fulfills a symbolic function: that of a place we don't have to take. It's already there, ready for them.
Designed for them, built to last:
- Elevated seating to see without being seen and enjoy a sense of safety
- Easy access thanks to ergonomic grips and easy to reach platforms
- Enveloping backrests offer reassuring support and a moment of rest
- Colored skylights on the PlatO model create a soothing atmosphere
- Practical hooks for hanging bags and clothes within easy reach
- Cocoon-like space for confiding, observing, or simply taking a breather
- Sturdy and durable materials: Canadian aluminum, stainless steel, UV-resistant HDPE polyethylene
- Proven to stand the test of time, climate, and daily life
