About us
Jambette was founded in 1983 by Claude Caron, Guy Caron and Richard Boucher when they decided to set up a small manufacture of playground equipment and site furniture. Made from wood, their creations quickly won over a number of customers thanks to their new-look aesthetics, sturdiness and safety. In just a few years, Jambette became a leader in its field.
Highlights
1995 - Implementation of lean manufacturing system
1996 - Jambette wins first prize in the prestigious Les Mercuriades competition
1998 - Jambette sits on the CAN/CSA-Z614 standard committee
2000 - Jambette becomes the first Canadian company to obtain IPEMA certification
2001 - Implementation of a pay equity standard
2006 - Jambette passes the 100-employee mark
2008 - Jambette is invited to sit on the committee developing the standard on work-family balance
2013 - A new product innovation process is set up
2017 - Jambette, more alive than ever, is now established across Canada and is increasingly present in the United States.
2019 - Jambette creates the "Adventure-Lab" in collaboration with the Patro de Lévis to develop its expertise in free play.
2023 - Jambette starts building a new factory to meet its expansion needs
Today
Jambette is the Canadian leader in the manufacture and sale of recreational equipment, and is undeniably the largest outdoor playground equipment designer in Canada. Jambette has over one hundred employees, owns a subsidiary involved in the playground industry, and is continuing to grow in the US market.
