The CRAFT Table enables the creation of emotional ties between children
When the little ones sit side by side, they create emotional ties characterized by gentle and joyful emotions. These new relationships that they create help them build self-confidence and confidence in others, and provides many other benefits. Well-being is one and self-esteem, another. Within such relationships, the child is more comfortable taking initiatives and confident that they will be pleasing to his friends.
When this happens, the child feels appreciated, leading to conditions conducive to developing his self-respect. It is here that self-esteem comes into play. However, children may also develop many other values, because play allows them to feel and manage emotions: autonomy, respect, honesty, patience, etc.
If, however, a moment of play becomes a difficult emotional experience, the child learns to cope with the feelings he is experiencing and find a response. Better still, the child can try to change his attitude and way of thinking by focusing on positive elements. The child may use defence mechanisms, which is important, but in the end, he explores his inner self, identifies his emotions and finds solutions to resolve interpersonal or personal conflicts. This is a great foundation for the future!
Children learn through play ! This is why Jambette develops and designs play equipment that promotes the child's emotional development. To learn more about how play contributes to every aspect of child development, download our Clever Little Guide to Getting Children Out to Play .
